Local government

Few areas in the public sector are so continuously beset by change as local government.  This challenge is increased further by the demand for accurate record keeping, a robust compliance framework and the need for staff to perform, even infrequent tasks, competently.  We work with many councils in areas as diverse as housing, revenue & benefits and social care to help drive business change.

In the area of systems change specifically, we partner with system providers such as (Serco), Northgate, CareFirst, Corelogic and Civica.

In Islington for instance we worked with the council to support the upgrade of its Northgate iWorld Revenue and Benefits system.  The need to educate and inform a large, geographically disparate audience on process change brought about by legislative developments led Islington Council to appoint EnlightKS.  Our solution enabled Islington’s process experts to create rapid simulation and e-learning content for delivery online and within the classroom, as well as managing online delivery and course booking.

Early success with the original project led the council to extend the system’s use to deploy our suite’s performance support system (EPSS) for Northgate iWorld, and to look to other areas, such as the fraud office, to help with improving process efficiency there.
